Christie Lea Stashyn is a trauma informed Counsellor supporting individuals navigating life transitions, relational wounds and the long-term effects of stress and trauma. With a background in emergency services and nearly 2 decades of experience working with people under pressure, Christie brings a grounded understanding of nervous system stress, burn-out and survival patterns into her work. Her approach is relational, intuitive and non-pathologizing. Rather than focusing on what is wrong, therapy centres on curiosity, authentic connection and uncovering the strengths already present within each client.

Many counselling practises focus heavily on diagnosis, pathology or rigid treatment models. Christie’s focus is different and her practice is built around relationship presence and thoughtful exploration rather than reducing your experiences to labels or quick solutions. Therapy here invites curiosity about your story, your patterns, and the deeper forces shaping your life. Together, we work at a pace that respects your nervous system, your history, and your autonomy. Christie is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor & a Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling (Provisional) with training, rooted in relational and attachment based frameworks, including the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Christie also brings the lived wisdom of Motherhood and the creativity of a published children’s author. Her award-winning children’s book, “Safe in Starry Arms”, reflects her belief in emotional safety, connection, and the innate resilience within everyone.
